G. has been looking up some simply scrumptious sites about crocheting things with plastic grocery bags. I tooled around for a moment on Google but found nothing -- except, this lovely crocheted hat. You can get the directions here. Maybe G d G will create a quick post about the ways people from far-off lands are able to use old grocery bags because, man, we're drowning in them here.

I know what you're talking about with those African enormo-bags -- if you go to the crafster.org link for the crocheted shoes you will see a link to somebody's website where they make tote bag carryalls that look like what I think you're describing but without the long straps.
Man, that would be so awesome if your moms could school us in weaving plastic bags. This could be a happening, you know?
